Royal family kids
Royal Family Kids Camp: The primary purpose of Royal Family KIDS Camp is to give foster children ages 6-12 a week of positive memories and royal treatment in a Christian Camp environment.
Life after Camp… Mentors and Mentoring Club Kids have a special bond that was established during the week of Royal Family KIDS Camp. After Camp is over, that bond is carried over into a one on one mentoring relationship through Royal Family KIDS Mentoring Club. Two important things happen at Mentoring Club. Participating Campers are matched with trained Mentors from the Royal Family KIDS Camp team. Mentors and their Mentoring Club Kids spend four hours together each month doing fun activities and building healthy adult-to-child relationships.
Louis Zamperini Youth Ministries and Royal Family Kids have partnered together to develop camp curriculum using the amazing story of our Founder to bring hope, equipping these precious kids with Louis’ extraordinary values from "Don’t Give Up, Don’t Give In" and "Devil at My Heels." These life lessons will be shared in unique ways to help inspire and sow seeds of faith to change their lives forever.
FOREST HOME CAMPS
Forest Home exists for people to: Encounter Jesus., Experience Transformation and Engage the World. Louis Zamperini Youth Ministries will be involved in the distribution of Children's Bibles, as well as speaking engagements. With the goal of captivating these kids through the re-telling of Louis' amazing life of survival, resilience and redemption. STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS AND REHABILITATION
Louis' heart was devoted to misguided youth. After meeting with Reverend Jacob Matchak the Protestant Chaplain at the Ventura Youth Correctional Facility, we knew we had to come along side the work this devoted Chaplain is doing with these young men and women incarcerated for mostly serious offenses.
We are providing quarterly speaking engagements, books, DVD's and one on one mentoring with these 17-24 year old inmates. There is no doubt these kids can relate to Louis' delinquent beginnings, and are impressed with him turning his life around becoming a great Olympic runner. A man who would summons the courage to survive 47 days at sea. Needless to say, they completely relate to Louis' captivity and find encouragement in his determination and strength of character to endure the brutal treatment of prison camp. Our sincere hope in working with these kids is to bring them to a point of understanding as to how it was Louis was able to forgive those captors and find a path to Victory, thus giving them a HOPE for their futures as well.
A CHANCE FOR CHILDREN
A Chance For Children strives to empower at-risk youth by providing the opportunities to set goals and the tools to achieve them. We fight to instill the belief that no child is limited by their surroundings or upbringing. By encouraging dreams and consistently exposing them to new experiences outside the dangers and struggles of their daily lives each child will have a change for a better future.
Louis Zamperini Youth Ministries will be partnering through speaking engagements and providing additional counselors for a variety of camp activities. The Ministry will also provide children's Bibles as well as Louis autobiography 'Don't Give Up Don't Give In', chronicling the lessons of his extraordinary life.
SUNBURST YOUTH CHALLENGE ACADEMY
To intervene and reclaim the lives of 16-18 hear old at-risk hight school students: to produce program graduates with the values, life skills, education and self discipline to succeed as productive citizens. Louis Zamperini Youth Ministries is partnering with Sunburst by providing speaking engagements and the donation of copies of the various books, DVD's and documentaries of Louis' story as well as providing the graduates with copies of 'Don't Give Up, Don't Give In'. We are seeking finances to fund the work of this amazingly successful program through additional sponsorships for the many young men and women without the resources to attend. LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT, TORRANCE POLICE DEPARTMENT
Louis Zamperini Youth Ministries is working alongside the LAPD and the TPD through a variety of events such as day trips, hikes, and the donation of materials to their Little Free Libraries which function as an educational and outreach tool.
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Just as Louis Zamperini and USC played key roles in each other's stories, the University of Southern California has been a vital resource in the development of our foundation. The USC Athletics Department has partnered with Louis Zamperini Youth Ministries to ensure that our participating students are paired with qualified caring mentors.
Hope Central Watts Church
Started by Pastor Jose Hernandez, a former gang member with a unique perspective and the ability to both relate to and help direct kids toward a productive, God centered life. We were so inspired by his phenomenal work with at-risk youth that we came alongside him to to support his mission and ministry. We look forward to being part of facilitating the great hopes and desires Pastor Jose has to turn these kids lives around. To give them a future and a HOPE!
SUMMIT ADVENTURE
Summit Adventure has been providing customized wilderness guiding for nearly 40 years. Their unique perspective on transformational learning, which focuses on outdoor adventure, service, and experiential education, creates the perfect partnership for Louis Zamperini Youth Ministries. The mission of Summit Adventure is to facilitate transformational learning that strengthens relationships, deepens faith, and builds compassion through Christ-Centered outdoor adventure, service, and experiential education. All costs of the trip are funded by Louis Zamperini Youth Ministries through scholarships offered to those students who do not otherwise have the means to attend.
